Welcome to Ryff ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect data that is strictly necessary to provide and improve your language learning experience across the four core skills (Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing).
A. Account & Authentication Data
When you create an account or sign in, we collect:
- Account Credentials: Depending on your chosen sign-in method, we collect your email address (authenticated via a 6-digit One-Time Password / OTP), Google Play Store account credentials, or Apple/iCloud account credentials.
B. Onboarding & Demographic Data
- Approximate Age: Collected during onboarding to tailor appropriate app experiences and comply with age-related safety policies.
C. Audio Data (Voice Recordings)
- Temporary Audio Inputs: To evaluate your speaking exercises and provide instant score feedback, your voice is recorded via your device's microphone. We do not collect any typed text input.
2. How We Use Your Data & Audio Handling
A. Immediate Audio Processing & Instant Deletion
Your audio recordings are processed strictly in real time to compute your speaking exercise score and feedback.
- Zero Storage: Once your exercise result and score are displayed on your screen, the audio file is permanently and immediately deleted from our temporary processing systems.
- No Voice Training: We do not store, retain, analyze for profiling, or use your audio recordings to train public AI/voice models.
B. Account Administration
- Email addresses and third-party login tokens (Google/Apple) are used solely to manage your account, verify your identity via OTP, and synchronize your learning progress.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or audio files to third parties.
We may share minimal data only under the following strict conditions:
- Authentication Providers: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In process your credentials securely according to their respective privacy policies.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
4. Third-Party Services & Analytics
- No Advertising SDKs: Ryff does not contain any advertisements or third-party advertising tracking SDKs (such as AdMob). We do not collect or track your device's Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID).
5. Data Retention
- Account Data (Email / Login Tokens / Age): Retained as long as your account remains active.
- Audio Recordings: 0 days / 0 seconds. Audio data is held temporarily in volatile memory only for the duration of the scoring process and deleted immediately after.
6. Account Deletion & Your Rights
You have full control over your data. You may request the deletion of your account and associated email credentials at any time:
- In-App: Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Via Email: Send a deletion request to support@ryff.fun. Upon account deletion, all account records are permanently erased from our databases.
7. Children's Privacy
Our app is designed for general audiences. Because we do not store voice data or personal identifiers beyond basic authentication, we do not knowingly collect or retain personal data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions) without parental consent.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app with an updated "Effective Date."
